Andy L. Caldwell is the principal attorney at the Caldwell Law Firm, P.A. He was admitted to practice in 1999 in all Arkansas state and federal courts. Mr. Caldwell received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Arkansas School of Law in Fayetteville, Arkansas in 1999. He received his bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Henderson State University in 1995.
Mr. Caldwell started representing employers and workers compensation insurance companies over 20 years ago. A few years later, he began representing injured workers in that he felt that many injured workers were not getting the benefits that they were entitled to and they were lacking guidance in the Arkansas workers’ compensation system. He decided that he wanted to be able to help those injured workers fight for the benefits to which they are entitled. When an injured worker cannot work and the insurance company wrongfully denies their claim, often times those injured workers become dependent upon governmental assistance. Mr. Caldwell believes that the workers' compensation insurance carriers should pay legitimate claims rather than shifting that burden to the taxpayer.
Mr. Caldwell's primary focus and area of practice is workers' compensation. He has lectured to Fortune 500 companies, insurance carriers and members of the bar on the topics of workers’ compensation, Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and legal ethics. He is a member of the Arkansas Bar Association (formerly on the Ethics Committee and Judicial Nominations Committee), American Bar Association and Pulaski County Bar Association. Mr. Caldwell is a also a member of the Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association from which he received the President’s Award in May of 2003 and the American Association for Justice, the Association for Trial Lawyers.
Mr. Caldwell is married to Dr. Jacqueline Caldwell and they have 4 children. Mr. Caldwell enjoys golf, hunting, fishing, skiing and coaching youth sports when he is not advocating on behalf of his clients.
